Hello,

For the first coat of resin that goes on the wood, that I lay my first piece of fiberglass on, do I use hardener with that or is it just resin?
Then a coat of resin and hardener on top of that?

mix up your resin the same way for each layer, and soak it good.

Apply some resin to the wood and let it at least start to get hard before you start glassing, if you don't the wood will suck some of the resin out of the glass and leave dry areas that will need to be repaired.

Never just use resin by itself. It needs to be catalized or it will never harden.

If your gonna coat the wood, use two coats, of catalized resin then the wood is sealed.

Personally Epoxy works better to seal the wood but the cost is a bit more.
