Well today went very well and found out that i love my boat. But i have a couple questions to ask some of you experienced guys. I went out on the delaware river with it today and drove up and down for about 2 hours then suddenly i noticed when i would bring it down into lower rpm's it would start to run rough but it did not happen every time and im very curious to find out what it is so i can correct the problem. In the low rpm's when it would start to run rough if i just throttled it up a little bit it would clear rite out. Also i noticed that it is a little hard to start after running it for a while and is also a little hard to start even when its cold is all that normal? I dont mean to be a pain but most of you guys on here probably forgot more than i kno.:)

Sounds like carb problems (clogged idle passage, choke problem). But some specifics about what motor you have would help, for a start.

Yes you are rite motor would have helped sorry bout that. It is the mercruiser 3.0 i/o. Would a clogged idle passage or a choke problem be hard for me to fix myself?

Clogged idle passages require dismantling the carb; might as well install a complete rebuild kit. The choke might just be out of adjustment.

Have you even torn apart a carburetor?
