First Day out after repower overheat and steering question

I took the boat out today and had a couple problems

The boat when under load will over heat. ( i never let it above 190-200 range) The thing is only the starboard mani / riser is hot.I can still put my hand on it but it is hot. The port mani and riser is cool to the touch. What would cause this?

What I have done
New hoses
New impeller pump and housing
new manis and risers
new water hose from outdrive belllhousing to transom.
Timing is at 8 deg btdc and carb is new ( so i dont think it is running lean or timing)

I do not see any leaks what would cause this?

Also, my steering system has a little bit of a wobble in it. I can see the steering system wobble on the transom and and when I shut the engine down once I heard a pssssst liike ait was blowing out. There is no leaks and I tried to bleed the system by turning the wheel all the way over and back with no help. Any ideas?

Ayuh,... You've done Alot to it, so I guess I'll just Guess...
How's the condition of the P/Steering Cooler,..??
Is it clear thru both the oil side,+ water side,..??
Any chance an old impeller blade got Lost,..??

Pull the low-pressure return line from the P/S Pump,+ direct it into a receptical,...
With your other hand, pour fresh oil into the reservoir as somebodyelse turns the wheel lock to lock,...
Be looking at the way,+ condition of the return oil....
It should flow strongly when the wheel it turned, little when not......

old impeller is fine the ps cooler is in good shape. What are the causes for one half of the engine to heat up while the other is cool?

Ayuh,... Water takes the path of least resistence,.....
They're Never equal, but shouldn't be radically different either....

I guess you otta start at square 1,+ start pulling hoses to verify the flows....

Kris,did you inspect that the new parts were free of obstructions? I Just installed a new GLM thermostat housing which was completely blocked in one nipple going to the hose to the manifold. I had to drill my own hole.
If you take out the manifolds make sure you blow out every hole. Some of these imported after market parts are not very reliable.
