First post, 130Hp Johnson OB, need advise rough idle

Hi everyone, first post here. I just bought my first boat, 1995 17.6' Larson with a 1995 30HP Johnson outboard. The engine works great but at idle and very low speed like when you are driving around the wharf the engine is rough and shakes but at cruising speeds the engine purrs like a kitten. I purchased a service manual but I haven't gotten it yet. Can someone kinda steer me into what I should looking at in the carburator or timing that could be causing this. Any technical web sites that I should bookmark?

Carbs might be a little dirty, try some sea-foam.

I have the same engine; never had it idle really smooth. May just be a function of size and layout; big V-4s aren't the smoothest running things at low speed... Same basics as every other motor; clean carbs, no leaks, and link and synch.
