I'm new to this forum and I've just started a deck and stringer replacement project on my MFG and I have a ton of questions I will be asking. But for now I wonder if anyone can shed a little light on the history of my MFG. I am the original owner of a 1980 MFG Piper Bowrider Outboard. This boat has been the love of my life as well as my family's. We've treated her well, stored winters indoors and always wiped down, cleaned and dried after every use. In return she has been a stellar part of our family's journey over the years. Swimming, Skiing, Fishing, Camping. Affordable family adventures when money was tight and never once letting us down.
I remember being told when we bought her, that this 1980 Piper was in the 25th anniversary series of MFG Boats. (The Morrison family then sold the molds a few years later to AMF.)
Any truth to this?
