Looks like a nice candidate for your resto. I can't tell if it's alum. or glass, but either way if the price is right, it could be a fun project. That windshield is kind of cool looking.

Yep good candidate. Just so you know, even if that motor fires & 'runs' forward & reverse in a bucket (which you should be prepared to test at 1st viewing: mechanics tools, access to water container or 'ear muffs', gas, gas hose, seafoam, along w/ tools & equipment to test compression) you need to know it's probably an electric shift motor, and those shift parts are obsolete, that's why the lower unit doesn't match the rest of the motor.

It looks like a nice rig. Plan on inspecting it stem to stern & under the splashwell. The SC crew around here will help you get it into top form & water ready quick as your time & funds allow. If you end up w/ an aluminum SC, have a mod move your thread to the Starcraft owners forum. And read through some of the threads there. Good stuff all over the place. There is also a link to the brochures for SC's on the SC owners forum home page. You might also look for the SC's on CL/Ebay thread. Guys post boats for sale as they see/find them, but it's 3rd party boats only, no selling of your own boat, per iBoats server hosting agreement.

Good luck,

That is probably a good boat to begin with as many of them have been restored/rebuilt here in the forums...pretty much nothin on that boat exists that hasn't been covered in a couple threads here
