Hi All. First post, but I have been following the forums for a while and have learned a lot from the experiences posted.
We recently bought a Triton 301 XD that we keep at a local marina. Monday we pulled it out for the first time without the help of the dealer.
Based on the advise of many folks on the forum, the wife and I went to a field and practiced backing the trailer for about 30 minutes. So with over-sized towing permit in hand, we headed to the boat ramp. My Dad helped guide us from the dock. The wife put the trailer in the water like the trailer was on rails. Although the trailer looked like a postage stamp, I got the boat on straight and only had to back the trailer a little to get up to the bow stop. The whole process took less than 10 minutes.
Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences (good and bad). It made our day.
