well it was my first time on lake don pedro in over 10 years. hadn't been there since i was a kid. got to the lake and in the water by 0630 hours and started trolling about 100 yards from the launch. it was a beautiful morning the lake was about 78 degrees at surface and was glass. not a soul out on the water, i love week days, took about 40 min to get our first fish in the boat, and it was a double hook up two at a time. a really nice bow and a king. another 2 min and boom double again. lost one though spit the hook next to the boat, but hauled in another nice king. needless to say the day turned out great, 3 of us limited out by 1200 hours.:) 12 kings, one that was about 18 inches long and the rest were about 14-16 inches. and 3 bows, 2 of them were 18+inches, and the one was a
hog of a fish he was almost 24 and weighted almost 3 pounds. it was a great day and i'm looking forward to more trips to don pedro in the months to come.:D

Nice! I hit Union Valley last Saturday and going to Ice House tomorrow. Union valley was very poor, not even a bite! I am hoping to have better luck at Ice House.

Never fished Don Pedro, what were you using and were you on a downrigger?

yeah i use downriggers and lead line, 4 lines, two people two rod stamp= 4 lines more water covered. as to what i use trade secret, but experiment, and use flashers and dodgers and keep there color in mind, try different speeds too. tip your wedding rings with a worm. don't run the same bait all day, and vary your depth, just cause the finder says there at 100 don't mean you run 100 trout/salmon see very well but can only see above them not under them. if they want it and it looks easy they can catch it, even fast trolling speeds can produce good numbers of fish. thats about all i could tell you, good luck and safe fishing.

Thanks axeman1988 for the tips. I am setting up my downrigger this weekend. Did not even get a bite at Ice House.
