First time boat Owner looking for all Info on My Boat

Hi well this is my very first boat, It is a 77 Century 200tr. It has the 351. other than that i know nothing else. I'm trying to fix my problem. There is two toggles on for trim and one for tilt. The trim works fine going dwn but to go up i must hold both the trim and til toggles up. Is this normal? Also where is the trim sensor located? Thanks for all the help

not sure what the problem is but mine does the same thing....should be 1 button for up and 1 button for down...the middle button is the trailer button which is suppose to bring the lower unit all the way up when u put it on the trailer....someone will correct me if im wrong

post your serial number off the stamped tag on the engine block and we can give you some good info.

Here are 2-charts from the sticky on different engine combos and what drive they would be bolted up with:

As you can see from the charts.... Mercruiser didn't use any Ford engines after '76. So the engine must be older than '77.

post your serial number off the stamped tag on the engine block and we can give you some good info.

Serial stamp on engine is 4641871 and on back left of boat stamped in is CEB7B116M77C
