First of all. Thank all of you for helping. I'm new to the marine world and have been trying to use the search function as much as possible, but sometimes I don't even know what I'm searching for.
I have an 89 5.7L Cobra. It was winterized and sat for 4 years.
I've been trying to get it ready. So far I've drained the antifreeze from the block. Put new plugs, wires, distributor, points, condenser. Drained fuel and replaced fuel filter.
the oil in the drive and engine are both clean and free of water. they were changed when it was winterized. do i need to change it?
probably need some starting fluid for the carb right?
anything else i should check before i fire it up for the first time?
