First Time Waterskier

Just got back from the river and my son got up the first time today. He tried last week but we were running out of daylight and had to go in. We have been going to the Tennessee river when I get off of work and conditions have been perfect. Both kids enjoy it so much I have been able to leave the tube at home. Makes for a lot more room on the boat.


We have been three more times since he first got up. He is effortlessly crossing the wake, letting go with one hand, and trying to spray. One or two more times and it will be time to take the training wheels off (the bar that holds the front of the skis together).

Get one of the 12V pumps- they have clamps for hooking to your battery- inflates my one person tube very quickly. That way we can have it all the time without it being inflated and taking up all that room. Glad to see more people skiing, seems to be a dying thing here. Most people just drag inflatables, most of the rest wakeboard. Very few ski.
Just bought a new pair of nice combo skis myself- Connelly Eclypes. Hope to get them wet tomorrow.
