I have a 200 hummingbird. I has been having a few problems. It worked fine untill just the other day. Then when I turned it on it was set(reset itself) to metric and small numbers. It also did not show the water temp any longer. Along with this it now cuts out about every two seconds and leaves a blank strip on the screen and goes to 1 foot depth(which is the offset I have programmed into the unit). ANy idea what has happened?

thanks
longshot

Sounds like what mine did, but mine would also show increasing depths, 10'(correct) then, 2', 36', 2' 88',2', 604', etc. Then it would lock up and I would have to unplug the power cable to get it to reset.

Mine had a broken wire in the transducer cable.

Could also be unstable power supply voltage, or simply a failing unit.

Just went through something kind of similar, but not identical. In the end, I was not getting a full 12 volts to the unit. Had a short in the power cable. Took care of that and it's working beautifully. Is also a hummingird

Humminbird sells a real nice voltage regulator for all thier units. I found a brand new one on EBay dirt cheap. I installed it and it solved my issues.
