Hello all,

Another question! I have a fish finder on my recent purchase. It switches on no problem when the boat has been sitting for a while. It will then die minutes after and not switch on again.

I'm posting this on the off chance someone will have something for me to check when I get home to the boat this weekend (60 miles away). Apologies but I don't have the make to hand but could find out when I go home. I don't want to bin it if it could be salvaged.

Thanks in advance.

If you have an inline fuse holder in the power supply cord, you might want to check that. Not the fuse, the fuse holder.

Yep, mine was doing the same thing and it was just a bit of corrosion on that little in-line fuse, just clean it off, maybe a little grease to keep moisture out and hopefully you'll be good to go! If not the fuse then maybe a loose connection on one of those wires. Good Luck!

replace the fuze, I have seen inline glass fuzes with intermitant connection
