Here's one for some of you who go back a ways. I just acquired an antique fishing instrument called a "Fish Hawk model 550." It was used to measure light level, dissolved O2 (in ppm) and temperature at various depths. There was no manual with it so I'm left guessing about a few things. It has sensor that is lowered into the water and you can read the above items by setting the selector dial on the left for temp, O2 or light. A meter on the side measure the amount of cable reeled out. Everything seems to work fine except for the O2. I dunked the sensor in a glass of tap water and it didn't seem to measure the oxygen. There's a dial on the right labeled "oxygen" and when turned moved the needle on the meter slightly. Is there anybody out there who may have used one of these gizmos back in the day who might give some insights on this thing? Much appreciated.
