fish locater

just rebuilt a 1973 astroglass bass boat and need electronics for it. fishing freshwater lakes 3'-20'. water is always stained with no more than 2' visibility. budget under 300.00. what fish finder should i be looking for

Really hard to beat the Eagle Cuda series for value.

Yup, lots of them out there within your budget. I personally like Humminbird, but there are plenty of good ones by other manufacturers also. I'd get a color display, that helps differentiate hard/soft bottom for one thing.

BTW, I've found that my fish finder spends most of it's time telling me where the fish aren't.

Garmin 160c is a good little unit that cost less than $200
