Aspecks Bro, and Nephew (and family) are down in my neck of the woods for the week, so we got out on the big pond today...

Considering that a cold front pass thru yesterday and the seas were a bit "sporty" (looking ^up^ at some occasional BIG swells + a couple feet of wind-chop), I figure boating 3 good size Bonitas was'nt too bad... From info we gathered at the ramp, nobody was doing much catching..

We saw alot of birds, some flying fish....flying, and plenty of blue water...Seems fishy!..d:)

After we got cold, wet, and generally beat up enuff offshore, we retired to a little spot inshore and proceeded to immediately whoop up on some Jacks.... I guess we boated about 10? Jacks, broke off a few more (Nspeck broke off one biggun, species unknown) before they shut down on us... Actually I'm not quite sure who actually got whooped.. Us.. or the fish?...

All in all, we had a great time and I hope we get to do it again!... d:)

Thanks for taking care of 'em, Bill! You da man! But, what, no sailfish with Dex and the Nateman with you? You must be slipping! :}

Hey, there is a newbie in the Saltwater thread, wants to know where to catch fish in the flats around Ft. Lauderdale. Check out his post.

I saw one guy hooked up on a sail today... Dunno if they landed it or not, but he definately jumped it a few times...

Capt. Rob "SailKing" was out today too.. Saw his truck & trailer in the lot at Phil Foster, but he must have been hiding because we did'nt see him out..

Always a pleasure fishing with you guys, Art!...

and I took care of the newbie in ft. lauderdale best I could...d:)
