FISHERMAN 160 CS??? any thoughts

hi all new here seems like a good place to get some ideas from you all.
i am looking at the FISHERMAN 160 CS it looks to be a great little boat. just wondering if anyone had one or knows any one who does who had pros and cons on the boat. looks like a nice little package.

fish21, I'm looking at the same boat. Whatever I buy, it will be my first boat. I would love to hear from others regarding their thoughts on this boat, as well.

That's a nice entry level rig.

I wonder how much more would it be for the next model up, the Classic 165 CS? Looking at the '08 brochure, looks like the Classic is 9" wider at the beam for side-by-side seating while underway, its console has a windshield, and you can hang a 75hp motor on it.

My humble opinion is try to move up to the classic 165 the extra width will really enhance your fishing pleasure. I've got a 1981 Lunker Classic with a 70 inch beam and just bought a classic to get a wider boat. With the narrower beam it is always a problem getting around the seats. It is so bad that we no longer put a seat in the bow or next to the driver.

Hi likebob, Do you know what the transom & midship deadrise is for the Classic 165 vs Lunker Classic (& the Fisherman 160 CS if that is different). How would you describe the ride of the two, eg. in a 3' lop or bigger waves. I have a fairly basic V16 that is safe enough, but jarring in lop. I've other reasons to keep it but like many dream of being bigger ;- )

I have a v16 1995 console which shares the hull with the fisherman 160. We've had it for 12 years and love it. Harsh and loud in the chop. I took it out of boston harbor WEEKDAYS. If you see any water (over 1' chop) I would suggest a classic CS... good luck!
