Fishfinder Lowarnce X75 1998

I bought a boat which has this fish finder on it does anyone know if this is a decent fish finder? I know it is 15 years old has technology in fish finders improvement much to justify buying a new one?

I would get a new one if that one isn't performing good for you. I have a Lowrance X86ds that is on the low side of whats considered good these days and I love it. Some of the one's I've seen using sidescan sonar can give you almost a photographic quality pic of the bottom. It really depends on the deapth of your wallet. More cash=better equipment. If it works well and you know how to use it well you may want to keep it instead of buying another, really a matter of personal preferance I guess but the tech has improved allot.
