Fishfinder Question

Im looking at the Garmin 400c fishfinder. it is available with a dual beam or a dual frequency transducer. the only difference I see is the the dual beam trans goes to 900 ft and the dual freq goes to 1500. is that the onlky difference or am i missing something?

There will be a difference in resolution, that is, picking out smaller targets. The lower frequency will pick up more in general but the higher frequency will show what is (likely) fish and what is noise or spurious reflections. I don't know what the price difference is but if it isn't a lot, get the dual.
