Fishfinder Screen problems

I have an Apelco 360 fishfinder. It came with my boat so I don't know much about it. It seemed to be working fine about 2 weeks ago in Lake Erie. Last week, while vacationing in Chautauqua, the screen developed areas where data was missing. Whole lines of resolution are gone. I can barely make out the screens now, and the lines that have data seem to have interference. I cleaned and checked the wires. I tried it in simulator mode, but get the same problems. Transducer does not have any visual damage. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Joe

Re: Fishfinder Screen problems

That's what I figured. I took it apart and the ribbon cable that connects the LCD screen to the motherboard was soldered, not a socket type, and it appeared to have some bad spots. I'll take any advice on a new unit. I kind of like the Eagle 320DF. Any commentary or other suggesgtions? Thanks, Joe
