My biggist fear was takin my 2 sisters kids out on my boat so they could fish. I put worms on their hooks and let them cast out, telling them what goes out will come back(if you get a bite and pull back without a fish, the bobber and hook will come back at us at 150 mph) Sure enough one of the kids thought they had a bite and tried to land it in one quick pull. The bobber and hook come back at Mach 2, no fish but plenty of volocity. I look forward to when these kids teach thier kids how to fish.(A plexiglass barrior might be between us) PDS

Re: Fishing Fears, 101

That story takes me back 25 years or so.

A buddy of mine wants to fish a small lake. I'm the person with the boat and a little hessitant to go since this boat is a 10 ft. jon boat and this guy weighs in at 200 lbs. I decide not to use the motor, that we'll paddle to the fishing spot.

We get to the spot off an island, bober fishing up towards the island my friend gets hung up. Hes yanking and pulling at his line. Hook finally lets loose, at 150 mph the bobber hits friend right between the lookers, he falls backwards aswell as boat and me. Luckey for us the water was only 3 ft deep.
