Re: Fishing Florida

Well there are several good areas for Bass fairly close to the Malabar/Melbourne area...

This link might also help you find some information.. http://www.floridasportsman.com/

A link for boat ramp info... http://floridafisheries.com/ramps/

My favorite place is Blue Cypress Lake... It has great areas full of large Cypress trees (great cover) and is a fairly large lake... It's probably a 45 minute or so, drive from Malabar...

Here's a link for directions to Blue Cypress.. Blue Cypress

Lake Kissimmee is also fairly close (maybe 1 hour, 15 minute drive)... Kissimmee info

The south end of the St. Johns river is another...

Now if your remotely interested in inshore salt water fishing, The Indian River in the area around Sebastian north towards Titusville is top notch area for inshore action...
Bass tackle is sufficient for most species in that area which include Redfish, Sea Trout, Snook, Tarpon, and numerous others... :)
