Hello, I'm looking for ideas on fishing pole holder for a 68' Holiday. The top of the side of the boat seems a little flimsy to support anything? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks

I put these scotty's on the inside of my gunwales, I just move them to the horizontal hole to put the cover on. I think Bass Pro or Cabellas has the same holders only under there brand in a four pack for a great price.

Re: Fishing pole holders

i use monster rod holders now. because my old ones wouldn't handle anything above a 10lb fish, i had the plastic ones from bass pro that are similiar to the scotty's they would just pull the rod holder down and almost lost a couple of rods, my new ones are made of 1/2 in steel and are coated , don't thing a 1000lb shark would rip the rod out of it. nice thing about them is you get two holders in one , one at 0 degrees and the other 35 degrees. pics are of the new and the old
