Fix for Leaking Gas Can at Guage?

Hi,

I have the typical Mercury 6 gallon gas can (80's Vintage) that oozes a bit around the part that connects the hose to the can. It also oozes a bit around the sight-glass that houses the gauge..... This happens only when the gas is shlossing around

Is there a fix for this? As in a gasket set? Or; should I just try using a squeeze-tube sealant of some sort?
