Will be working fine at idle for extended time, go to accelerate and get on plane, and will sometimes bog down and nearly stop. Once or twice it has caught on and picked up while bogging down. Sometimes will be running at full throttle for long time then same suddenly happens. Will alway restart, and be OK for a little while, or maybe all day. More recently, when idling it idles fine for say 15 sec then momentarily misses then fine for 15 sec, then misses again, etc etc.

I have checked power pack out while cranking, Its output is OK then (150+V). Ignition coils resistances are OK. Replaced primer bulb. CHecked fuel line pressure to fuel pump at idle = 2-3 in vac, no bubbles in fuel line at idle. Drained water from Racor- got 4oz. Fuel is fresh. Built in tank and vent is unclogged. cleaned carbs (were fine), adjusted timing (was fine).

This suddenly began happening. I was having problem starting/priming at first too, replacing primer bulb fixed that. Symptoms are similar to what I experienced once with a clogged strainer at the tank, but there is none now. I have an antisiphon valve and a Racor, and I doubt the racor is plugged.

Mbb..... If the problem continues to exist when you have someone pumping the fuel primer bulb, and the primer bulb is operating properly, that would eliminate a fuel problem scenario. In which case, I'd suspect a intermitent ignition problem.

Remove the black/yellow wire from the back of the ignition switch. If that cures the problem, replace the switch as a intermitent short would exist between the two "M" terminals of that switch.

However if pumping the bulb eliminates the problem, that could possibly be caused by a sticking anti siphon valve.
