Fixing a towable tube's skin.

We were out last weekend tubing and our tubes skin ripped a little. The tube is fine its just the cover taht ripped. Its ripped next to the reinforced pull seams. How can i fix it/ patch it ??

I would go to a canvas shop and see if they can patch it up for you. They have the materials and the sewing machines to do it. It needs to be reinforced really well and no regular home sewing machine will be able to handle the thread weight or the fabric well.

We have had the same thing happen - usually around the handle area. We have tried to patch but it doesn't seem to hold - we are always tentative when we start to use them again because it comes apart, and then we have the hassle of pulling them in and dealing with that while everyone is waiting.
We just buy more unless it's end of the season.
