Fixing a TPS/alpha 1?

Trying to fix my trim position switch on an alpha 1. I'm not sure whether it's "old" or "new" style. Looks like there are 2 wire wound metal bars that provide variable resistance. 1 of these bars is FUBAR'd. While I think I know the answer to this, is there anywhere to get just a replacement for this part? Not worth $100 for 2 senders and all that work to replace them. I imagine this type of thing is used in many electrical applications outside of merc stern drives--can anyone think of a source? FWIW, my half-*** splice job on the broken wires of my TLS has held up so far this season. I just used some butt connectors and a bunch of liquid tape.
