I have a boat with a '64 Johnson on it. The paint is far from pretty! I was wondering if anyone knew of a good brand/kind of paint to spray on their. Would some good old Krylon or Rustoleum do the trick if used with a coat of clear-coat?

The trottle on this boat was working, then was taken apart (by someone other than myself), and now the trottle lever on the motor barely moves. Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing that? The cable is not broken!

Also, Does anyone have any idea how much and how easy it is to replace the following parts:
water pump
prop
maybe throttle (if it is non-repareable)

Got a HP there PCM?
You can get Tempo brand paints from most marinas that match your paint. The trick is to just roughen up the surface where the paint is still good with sandpaper. Any bare spots will need to be cleaned, etched with a 50/50 mix of vinager and water, and then primed with zinc chromate primer. Tempo sells that in a spray can too.

Iboats can sell you some too. Click here.
