Just an odd question, does it matter if you fly the flag on the port or starboard side, or for that matter, bow or stern?

Just wondering if there's any official rules or traditions with regard to flag placement on a boat.

Excellent, thank you.

For my boat it looks like it should be on the starboard, stern. That's perfect if I fly it from the running light post (it's a small flag).
