I was wondering if I purchase a flare kit in the USA and use it on a Canadian boat in Can. waters is this legal? Would it pass if stopped by Can. Coast Guard.
Any vessel more than 5.5 meters and up to<br />8 meters is required to carry<br /><br />three A,B or C type flares and<br />three A,B,C or D type....total of 6 flares<br /><br />If the kit you buy in the U.S. meets these <br />requirements. you are o.k. with the Canadian coast guard
