flat anode odd shaped help please

i have a 1998 tracker by mercury i just purchased and has a flat anode no trim tab that is odd shaped when i purchased the boat i noticed it was broken in half it is round and appears to have a flat tounge that covers nut that connects lower unit cannot find i am needing i want
to replace impellor and do a general once over on the boat any help will be appreciated thank you

welcome aboard

there are 3 styles of anodes under the rear of the anti-cav plate. some with a fin, some just flat, and one with a little nub

engine size and serial number will help identify correct parts

Being an outboard it may not have the usual tab sticking out if you have no-feedback steering. Take a pic and let us see what you have

Here is a listing of all possible anodes for your motor. Depending on what kind of water you boat in will determine what material should be used. If your boat does not sit in the water plugged into to shore power, then you don't need to worry about them for the most part.
