Flat rate overhaul time for V-4 crossflow

Can anyone tell me the flat rate time for a complete engine overhaul including pistons, carbs and waterpump. (1993 115hp evinrude)

When I do a rebuild, I figure about ten hours to disassemble and reassemble the powerhead with about another hour for impeller replacement and lower unit oil change. This does not include travel time for picking up parts, boring the block etc.

I am probably a little low in the time estimation, but I don't do it for a living so it really doesn't make a difference to me if I take extra time.

I charge 450 - 500 for my time and labor plus cost of parts. Hope that helps you some.

That sounds very generous on your part. The shops around here charge $2000 for the labour alone.
