I live in nj and they're currently expanding the turnpike, well i have to drive thru underpasses/overpasses to get pretty much anywhere. My 00 acura tl has gotten 3 flat tires because of nails/screws since summer began, 2 within a week of each other. now my moms 09 civic got a flat but she decided to drive on it:face palm:and ruined the tire and bent the rim a little bit, but still useable.

In Michigan which has consant construction due to poor weight restrictions, you can actually document and get reimbursed for this kind of stuff. It isnt easy and I dont know the steps, but I think it would be worth doing some research to see.

My landlord re did our roof after a hurricane and I had 6 flats in one month, I pissed and moaned enough that they reimbursed me for 5 of them, some how claiming 1 wasnt their fault. I was finding roofing tacks for years, literaly 4 years later was finding roofing tacks... They came and swept with a giant magnet that seemed to help some.

It always sucks waking up taking a shower and walking out the door to go to work only to have a flat tire.... Plus, try convincing your boss that you were late 6 times in one month due to flat tires, if yours was like mine, they find it hard to believe...
Good luck, I feel your pain...

The local scrap yard installed a shredder a couple of years ago. People were getting lots of flats in that area from stuff falling off the semi's hauling scrap to the yard. Now, the state has posted an inspector to patrol that section of road. Several times a week they run a state truck that has a big magnet mounted on the rear to pick up any metal debri on the road. It has worked well.

Amazing how construction can cause all sorts of flat tires... The local marine had a huge construction project and I picked up something in a tire, click, click, click, click as I pulled out of the marina. The click was a friggin 3/4" x 4" bolt, I wouldn't have made it far with that thing...
