Just got a '98 Landau Bandit 20' with a 135hp Mercury, and the entire backrest mechanism on the flip flop seat was removed and discarded by prior owner. Its a live well seat that's connected and bolted in, and its still in great shape, so I would prefer to just replace the backrest rather than change out the entire seat. I can't find any rail or backrest frame replacement (I can only find replacement backrest cushions for sale). Does anyone know where to find a replacement rail / frame (and a backrest cushion that will match it)?

It will be difficult to find the manufacturer to buy a replacement, I think you'll have to have one made. Mine is made with 1 inch square aluminum tubing which wraps around a wooden frame that the cushion is upholstered to. I could see getting a nice wooden one or one like mine made by a canvas guy who makes frames, or a good woodworker. I had a wooden framed one back on an older Manitou I owned, it was a nice looking seat,

Would help if you posted a pic of what you have. I bought a flip back seat and the back frame is made of 1" square aluminum to that would be a start for fabricating yours.
