i have a 130hp. 1973 Chrysler outboard what are the tools i need to do a float adj. ,and where do i measure from when adj. the floats .i know the tab adj. when you push it in it comes up closer to the carb i would like to do this right the first time because of the bolts that hold the fuel bowls in are made of soft brass and mare easy .and what is the measurement for the float adj. on these dual carbs.thank you IKE1952

The floats are either said to be at 13/32 or level with the casting when the carb is upside-down.

I prefer to set them just a smidge lower than level under their own weight. This sets them slightly high in running position and the engine just slightly rich at full throttle. But, then again, my engines are ported and modified, and can use a slightly richer mixture.

Yeah, I do foul plugs a bit more, but I don't melt pistons, and its way easier to clean plugs than replace pistons.
