Anybody got a service manual that shows the correct distances for the float spring and the levers for a 1971 merc carb? I ordered up a manual from the local library and they shipped the service manual for 30hp and above. After doing a carb clean/rebuild I'm having problems with fuel exiting the overflow hole after a tear down/cleanup. Old owner said the engine bogged down and needed a new fuel pump. I did a rebuild on it and tore apart the carb. The needle is not closing on the seat when the bowl fills with fuel. If I take the bowl cover off I can blow through the fuel line with it upright and it closes tight when its inverted so I think the needle/seat is fine but the levers that control it are off. For some reason my mind isn't comprehending which way they need to be adjusted and would like them to factory spec. Engine starts fine, but fuel is running out of the hole in pic. Any help would be greatly appreciated since the closest library with the service manual is 1 hour away.
Thanks in advance!
