In the process of rebuilding the carb, I weighed my float and it is at 9.2 grams. According to the merc manual, anything 9g and over needs to be replaced due to fuel absorption. I have been looking online, and the only part replacement I can find is a Sierra part. From reading the reviews there is no measurement mark like the OEM part has. Has anyone had any experience with using these replacements and if so how hard was it to measure the float level. And speaking of measuring, the manual calls for using a carb guage - 91-36392. Can't find this tool anywhere, doesn;t seem to be available any longer. So what do I use to measure? Just a regular ruler or something? It seems from reading the float measurement needs to be pretty exact, so I don't want to mess this up.

Thanks
Dave
