This might be a silly question but my carpenter told me what wood to get for my floor I got it today 7 19-07. I have 1 gallon of boaters epoxy from west marine.

My big question is do I just coat the wood with the plain epoxy or do i need to add the hardner.

Just curious as to what wood he advised you to use? I think epoxy does not not cure without hardner.

The expoxy paints I have used are two parts, resin and hardner. You mix the two in equal parts and then apply--make sure you check the cure time as you do not want to mix more than you can apply during cure time

Yes, we would like to know the type of wood recommended. If it's PT then you might have a problem with adhesion.

Yes, you need to add the hardener, it's very important and you need to use the correct amount.
