I have a 1988 hydra sport 2500 cc. about 90 % restored. Nice boat. What was the original design and intent of floor livewell? Since I have to keep boat in water at dock with no davits, livewell is always full of free flowing water, or if i plug off fills with stagnet rain or wash water. Water comes from both upper and lower ports in livewell from one hose that is split off from thru hull. Water wont empty till i get boat on a plane. Tried a one way valve(out) but not enough psi when sitting to drain. Also would like to have water coming in when I wanted it to. I currently have a open/close valve which I leave open all the time anyway due to the wash and rain water fills it up when closed. Maybe this livewell is plumbed wrong? or was this the original design? and if so has anybody else had same complaint and came up with a solution? maybe some way of sealing livewell lid/
