I cut the floor open and the wood is rotten. No suprise though. I think someone has replaced the stringers before. It just looks like they were thrown in, in a hurry. There is only a couple of strips of glass holding them in. The plywood has some patches in it. Some squares that were glassed over, ???. The wood seems to be ceder 1"X4"'s. I can't take pictures right now because the batteries are dead in the camera. I will post some pics when I can. How are the stringers supposed to be held to the boat, besides the glass? Are they glued in?

There are lots of ways stringers are installed. You might want to visit a few websites and also see if you can find a copy of these books are start reading:

Another question. When I am done with the wood work part of the floor, does the plywood need to be glassed over or should some other method be used? If so what?
