Floor painting

I am in the process of fixing up a '68 Glastron Futura. The textured vinyl that was on the floor was dry rotted so I removed it. While checking the floor portion under the motor well I noticed a few small spots where the fiberglass had chipped and was looking for a product to seal it. The wood is not soft beyond the first ply of the wood. I have heard of a product call Gluvit, figuring I could use it and then paint over it. Is there a epoxy paint that would accomplish both steps at one time? Any economical ideas? Thanks Mike

Re: Floor painting

I have used 1 part polyurethane paint meant for exterior use like decks and concrete floors and things like that, its about $22 a gallon anywhere house paint is sold, and a gallon goes a long way. Clean the floor well, and lay a few coats of this stuff, and you are all set. You can add something like sand for traction, or you can glue carpet on or whatever.

Re: Floor painting

How about a layer of Light Cloth + Epoxy resin... Then paint over it, for the UV protection.....

Epoxy with coloring paste would do it with a single app., But Epoxy is Not UV tolerant....
