i have got a 1960 16 ft glasspar citation 1964 johnson 40 hp super sea just off a rebuild that was given to me from grandparents. i am in the works of redoing the paint sat out side for 7 years uncoverd motor was on stand in grage.other work needed i have removed all the old carpet and the floor at mid to tamson was soft and bad i removed it. the tansom was redone last year good shape. i was woundering if i could raise the floor another 4 inches for i can install some floor storage boxes their is a space from floor to inner hull yes inner hull this is a dubble hull of about 8 inches in middle.i would just raise from where i removed the old if i can with out doing the whole floor as the front bow area is good and strong the stingers are good and strongalso. i want to put the floor boxes in and have 2 inches under them for water drain the boxes and the floor are going to be made out of pre form sheet they make into paddle boats they are 3/4 inch thick and wheighs less then 1/2 of a sheet of wood.this is going from a family boat my grandparents had it for to a fishing boat for me. so alot of the old is comming out to make room to walk in side this thing .
