I am in the middle of rebuilding out 1999 Rinker 272 and i’ve decided I want to use Seadek for the flooring. However, the existing gel cost is worn through in a few areas from getting skis in and out as well and sliding the cooler in and out. What’s the current recommendation for a floor that will be 95% covered?

Thoughts:
Epoxy - durable but thinner than gelcoat. Will it last?
Textured coatings - easy to apply but creates problems for the Seadek adhesion.
Respray gelcoat - can match factory, but all the sanding and buffing to make it look good.

What are the recommendations? Did I capture the pro/cons correctly?

Autocorrect hates me. Gelcoat always gets corrected to gel cost.. and I can’t edit the post. When i do it creates a duplicate one.

Ayuh,..... Epoxy doesn't like sunlight,..... Great stuff, if it's covered, but not in direct sunlight,.....

Why not roll on a coat of poly resin, 'n mat,....
Then roll on gelcoat over the resined matting,....
