Hi boasters- I am ready to buy epoxy and lay down this floor. I have installed cleats to support the pedestals. I have about a 5'x7' area to replace. I am going to get the West system epoxy from uscomposites and i guess some slow hardener. Does anyone know how much I will need for this project. I plan on putting down epoxy on the old top of foam, which is still good, then a layer of half inch blue board or styrene. Then I will drop the deck down on top. I stained the bottom of the deck. I am not sure if I should coat spar varnish also on the bottom or if I can just put straight epoxy on it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Epoxy on its own, thinned can be 'painted' on wood is an excellant way to seal it. Just make sure you seal all of the edges, etc. Not much point in sealing the underside of the floor, if you don't seal the entire floor good luck.
