How bad is it when you have a small soft spot on the floor of a bass boat? I know this is probley rot but it looks ok under the carpet, but when a 250 lb. person gets on it its a little soft. What would happen if I dont fix this, and if i do decide to fix it what kind of money am I going to have to spend? Thanks

It will get worse if you do nothing. If the stringers are not currently affected you run the risk, by waiting, that they will be.

Is this deck or the hull of the bass boat? From what you describes I am sure it is the deck but when boomyal mentioned stringers I got a little worried <br /><br />If this is a plywood deck, you could can temporally fix it with a new piece of plywood and some new carpet!
