I have a 1988 Thundercraft Citation with a 3.0L I/O and i am rebuilding/remodeling it. the original craft had back to back seating with 2 jump seats by the motor box. i want to change that to 2 bucket seats and a bench seat in the back with a sun deck covering the motor box. any help on the molds or fabrications i might run into will be most helpful

I'm pretty good at designing stuff like that but without pictures it's pretty feutal.
Usually the top of the motor box get padded and becomes the structural point of the sun deck along with the sides of the gunnel simple way is to use the existing jump seats on the motor sides and make ledges so you can just remove the seat bottom and raise it flush with motor top, that way you still have both.

Re: Flooring and Seating

the problem with that is i dont have any existing seats to go off of. the boat hasnt been in the water or registered since 1997. i couldnt get any type of measurements off the seats or any other trim with vinyl on it. so this is completely from scratch. i want to make the sun deck have easy access to the motor along with some storage as well.
