First of all thanks to all of you for your time in answering all these questions for me and everyone else. Your experience with trial and error sure saves us a lot trial and error problems. So thanks again for your time and experience.
I have a 89 90hp Evinrude and the OMC manual.
1st ?...I've did the timing procedure from Joe Reeves and I don't have the rubber stop on the end of the full spark timer advance stop screw. I assume that I would let it rest against the throttle stop? I'm not sure but after the adjustment it seemed a little off.
2nd ?...I have a Fluke T5-600 Electrical tester and not a peak reading voltmeter. Will The HOLD button on my tester serve the purpose for a peak volt reading.
Thanks
