Hi all, I built a new electronics box out of Starboard, and I wanna panel mount my Raymarine A57 and my Garmin Fishfinder. The flush mount kits are $25 a piece and its basically something I can make my self for $5 for each display. However, The kits come with a gasket, where as I would use foam weather stripping from home depot.
Basically, Im looking for opinions. Should I spend the $50 and get something that I know will work, Or try to wing it on my own?

Re: Flush Mounting

I am one of those that will make something before I buy it, if it just a bracket and seal I would certainly do that myself and throw the other 40 bucks in the fish fund.

I have made my own camper top, hydrofoil, rod holders, ect, anyone can go out and buy somthing but how many people can make there own.

Worst case if it doesn't work you buy the factory parts.
