Flush ports

I know that running an F60 or T8 with the hose attached to the flush port is a no no. My question is when using the flush port (without running the engine) does the impeller and water pump get flushed out?

G'day K7. The flush port connection simply flushes the powerhead not the lower unit on the F60, not sure about the T8. Use muffs to flush both the powerhead and the lower unit on your F60. You can run the F60 with a hose attached to the flush port connector, but only if you also have a fresh water supply to the cooling intakes either side underneath the AV plate... either muffs or a tank of fresh water.
