I usually trailer my 16ft Beachcraft, I am tired of the lines at the launch. I'm mooring it in a salt water marina for the summer. I don't have power tilt so the motor is either up or down. Can I still hook up the "earmuffs" and flush the engine while the motor is tilted up?

I dunno, but I don't think you have much choice but to try. I think your main hurdle is going to be that the carbs aren't designed to run in that attitude. Look for a 1/8 pipe plug on each head. Perhaps you can plumb some fittings to do it statically using those as an access point.

You can tilt the motor, attach the muffs, and then lower the motor to run it. The muffs will be under water.....so??

as FR said, a lot of inboard/outboard people do it, and leave the muffs, and hose attached, until next trip out, they do that to try to keep as much salt water out of the lower, i think thats a wasted effort.
